
Dr. Jerry Tennant

Dr. Jerry Tennant is the founder and director of the Tennant Institute for
Integrative and Natural Medicine in Irving, Texas. With a distinguished career
spanning over five decades, Dr. Tennant has evolved from a pioneering
ophthalmologist to a leading expert in integrative medicine and advanced
microcurrent therapy.
After graduating from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in
1964, Dr. Tennant completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Parkland Hospitals
of Dallas and pursued additional training at Harvard Medical School. During his
30-year ophthalmology career, he served as the Director of Ophthalmic Plastic
Surgery at Parkland Hospital, founded the Dallas Eye Institute and Dallas Eye
SurgiCenter, and became an international lecturer in ophthalmic surgery.
Since 2000, Dr. Tennant has dedicated himself to integrative medicine,
specializing in pain management and voltage-based healing approaches. He's
authored multiple books in his "Healing is Voltage" series and holds numerous
patents for medical instruments, including several intraocular lens implants and
surgical tools.
Dr. Tennant's contributions to medicine have earned him prestigious
recognitions, including selection by the People's Republic of China to teach eye
surgery in 1978, the Philip Corboy Award for Distinguished Service to
Ophthalmology in 1986, and the Order of Saint Sylvester bestowed by Pope
Benedict for his contributions to medicine in 2008.
Today, through the Tennant Institute, he continues to train healthcare
practitioners nationally and internationally in pain therapy management and
voltage-based healing protocols, bringing his innovative approach to patients
seeking alternatives to conventional medical treatments.
