Dr. Harris will be presenting on the treatment modality called Neural Therapy. Neural Therapy is a pain treatment modality developed in Germany in the 1920’s that involves doing injections into nerves and ganglia of the autonomic nervous system to resolve autonomically mediated chronic pain. Western medicine doesn’t recognize autonomic dysfunction until it manifests as RSD or Complex regional pain syndrome. The Germans found out that there is a whole spectrum of autonomic dysfunction, of which CRPS is the most extreme representation. This lecture will give an overview of the topic of Neural Therapy, its theories of causation, and methods of treatment.
